APPEARANCE
Ryan is a fairly average-looking man in his early thirties, standing around 5'11" with a lean, slightly wiry build. He keeps his brown hair short and practical, usually with a few days' worth of stubble on his face. His hands often show small signs of his work, such as scratches, minor burns, or grease beneath his fingernails. He tends to dress for practicality rather than appearance, favoring work pants, worn boots, plain shirts, and jackets with plenty of pockets. He frequently carries a small multitool, flashlight, or other piece of equipment without giving much thought to it.
TEMPERAMENT
Ryan is quiet without being antisocial. He is generally more comfortable taking something apart and figuring out how it works than being the center of a conversation. He's patient, observant, and naturally curious, with a tendency to troubleshoot problems almost instinctively. When something stops working, his first response is usually to investigate rather than complain.
He's friendly once approached and has a dry, understated sense of humor, though he can sometimes come across as distant when he's concentrating.
